President, Great Worx
My name is Dr. Randal Burba, DDS, and I am one of the Directors of Great Worx Inc., a nonprofit built on integrity, transparency, and genuine service. We established Great Worx in 2015 after parting ways with another organization whose business practices did not align with the values we believe every nonprofit should uphold. From the very beginning, we committed ourselves to doing things the right way.
For more than a decade, our have traveled to Jamaica to provide emergency and mission-based dental care. Over the years, we have formed deep relationships with the families we serve—individuals whose lives we’ve helped transform through restored oral health, renewed confidence, and improved quality of life.
During our most recent mission trip, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica. The devastation was overwhelming. Many of the same families we have cared for over the last 10 years lost their homes, crops, belongings, and stability in a matter of hours. Seeing the hardship firsthand has only strengthened our resolve to support them in every way we can.
To respond quickly and effectively, Great Worx has partnered with a Food for Kidz a non-profit capable of producing nutritious meals for only $0.25 each. In addition, we are working on shipping to Jamaica through another relief group at free to low cost, and the Jamaican government has waived all duties and taxes on incoming goods until December 31st. This creates an extraordinary opportunity: every dollar you give goes directly to feeding families in need. None of your contribution is used for distribution, or administrative overhead.
Your support right now will have an impact unlike any other moment. Because of the waived duties and donated logistics, each dollar stretches further than ever before—and further than it will after December 31st.
We have stood alongside Jamaican communities for over 10 years, and today, they are depending on us once again. Your generosity will help us deliver thousands of life-sustaining meals to families trying to rebuild from disaster.
