Randy
Director, Great Worx
My name is Dr. Randal Burba, DMD, and I am one of the Directors of Great Worx Inc., a nonprofit built on integrity, transparency, and genuine service. We established Great Worx in 2017 after parting ways with another organization whose business practices did not align with the values we believe every nonprofit should uphold. From the very beginning, we committed ourselves to doing things the right way.
For more than a decade, my team and I have traveled to Jamaica to provide emergency and mission-based dental care. Over the years, we have formed deep relationships with the families we serve—individuals whose lives we’ve helped transform through restored oral health, renewed confidence, and improved quality of life.
During our most recent mission trip, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica. The devastation is overwhelming. Many of the same families we have cared for over the last 10 years lost their homes, crops, belongings, and stability in a matter of hours. Seeing the hardship firsthand has only strengthened our resolve to support them in every way we can.
To respond quickly and effectively, Great Worx has partnered with a trusted nonprofit organization capable of producing nutritious meals for only $0.25 each. In addition, shipping to Jamaica has been completely donated, and the Jamaican government has waived all duties and taxes on incoming goods until December 31st. This creates an extraordinary opportunity: every dollar you give goes directly to feeding families in need. None of your contribution is used for shipping, distribution, or administrative overhead.
Your support right now will have an impact unlike any other moment. Because of the waived duties and donated logistics, each dollar stretches further than ever before—and further than it will after December 31st.
We have stood alongside Jamaican communities for over 20 years, and today, they are depending on us once again. Your generosity will help us deliver thousands of life-sustaining meals to families trying to rebuild from disaster.
I invite you to join us in this urgent effort. If you would like to speak with me personally, please feel free to contact me at:

Thank you for your compassion, your consideration, and your willingness to stand with the people of Jamaica during this critical time.
I am writing on behalf of Great Worx Inc. to request your support for an urgent, high-impact food relief effort in Jamaica. In partnership with Food for Kidz, we are prepared to produce and deliver 160,000 meals directly to communities in crisis along the southwestern coast of the island, where the effects of food inflation, climate stress, and post-hurricane recovery have left thousands hungry and vulnerable.
With humility and urgency, we are requesting ${Ask-Amount} to launch a targeted humanitarian initiative. This request is part of a larger goal of ${Total-Amount} to produce, ship, and deliver large-scale food aid from the United States to Jamaica. Our priority is simple: ensure that children and vulnerable families have reliable, nourishing meals while fields recover, supply chains restart, and communities rebuild—with dignity and without delay. The mission of your foundation—to [align with foundation’s goals]—closely mirrors our own commitment to sustainable, high-impact humanitarian solutions.
Each meal costs just $0.25, bringing the total production cost to $40,000. That’s 160,000 nutritious, shelf-stable meals, packed into 744 cases (26,784 bags), each capable of feeding a family of 4 to 6. When prepared, these meals yield over 125,000 pounds of food. With your help, we will cover production and ship the meals to the port of Montego Bay, Jamaica, where our team will take over with our Mobile Medical Infrastructure (MMI) systems and Revival-based distribution hub.
Hurricane Melissa has destroyed almost all food production on the island for a time. This request and future requests are to help plug the gap until production is back.
We are not a large organization, but we are deeply rooted. Our directors have over 15 years of service experience in Jamaica. We have the infrastructure, the volunteers, and the trust of the community—what we need now is the funding to act, fast and at scale. Every meal counts. Every family we reach matters. We’re ready to move. We just need the green light.
